Fully Guided Late Season Mule Deer Hunt Package
Benefit from the experience and expertise of a seasoned guide to accompany you on your wilderness adventure. Your days will consist of either riding or hiking in order to best cover the terrain. A good deal of time will be spent behind the glass letting our eyes cover as many miles as possible.
Expect to be pushed to new limits as the terrain is steep and unforgiving here in the Salmon River breaks. You will be based from either a wall tent camp or smaller tipi spike camp depending on snow levels. Be prepared for the most extreme western hunt imaginable. Weather can be a worthy adversary here in the wilderness as winter sets in, and snowshoes can become essential. Deep snow can mean that we are restricted to a backpack hunt as the use of horses and mules is not feasible.
All hunts are 10 days and camps will be limited to 2 hunters maximum. We take pride in providing the finest outfitting and guide services possible. It is our commitment to each and every hunter to perform above and beyond in every aspect of your adventure.

FAQs
What are your success rates?
Success rates, like on all wilderness hunts, are highly dependent on the hunters abilities both physical and marksmanship. Nearly all hunters have opportunities at mature mule deer bucks, but in no way is anything guaranteed, this is not a high fence hunt.
What size of bucks should I expect to target?
While this is not a deer hunt with high deer density, we do have some excellent genetics for those willing to put in the effort. We strive to target bucks 175″ or better, and have seen several bucks over the years that break the highly sought after 200″ mark.
How far are the average shot distances?
While this country certainly allows for long range shot opportunities our goal is always to get as close as possible and our respect for the animals demands folks do not take shots that haven’t been well practiced prior to their hunt. Hunters that are well practiced at 500-700yds will by nature have more opportunities, so we recommend everyone shoot as often and as far as they can in preparation for their hunt.
How many hunters are in camp?
In order to best cover the terrain late season and give everyone equal opportunities at trophy bucks we like to hunt no more than 2 hunters from the same location.
What are the best dates to hunt?
The best timing is usually the last 10 days (Nov 9-18th) but we believe that the moon plays an important role in doe estrous cycles as well, so we always advise taking that into consideration.
