Semi-Guided Trophy Color-phase Black Bears
Offering the finest remote backcountry spring bear hunts in the lower 48. We offer 5 weeks of baited hunts accommodating 3 hunters per week.
Our operations are based out of a very lavish wall tent camp on the river focusing on bait sites. Bait sites are accessed primarily by foot with the help of our off-road vehicles and horses. We highly recommend rifles as most bait sites allow a much more comfortable viewing from ranges of 75-200 yards. Rifles can be supplied upon request. This is not your average baited bear hunt. Rest assured you will appreciate our attention to detail in every step. From our comfortable and spacious accommodations to the finest backcountry dining imaginable. Our bear camp is like none other. We are dedicated to providing opportunities at true trophy class bears.
Idaho offers some of the most unique color phase black bears in the world. The majority of our bears are a color other than black, and can vary from chocolate to blonde and cinnamon with many variations in between. All hunts are either on the edge of wilderness or in the wilderness itself for bears that are very rarely hunted, but thrive in this canyon environment. Record class bears are not uncommon and we strive to maintain a mature boar population. Charter flights are not included but will be arranged for hunters, as access to our areas is fly-in only due to the snowpack. All meals and accommodations as well as transportation to and from bait sites and trophy handling is included in this semi-guided hunt. Bear hunts are 6 days/ 7 nights.
We also offer a backcountry spot & stalk option for those looking for a more adventurous style of hunt. These hunts are fully guided 1 on 1 and are based out of a mobile spike camp setup. We use tipi tents and remain mobile to best cover the country. These hunts are a backpack based hunt and meals provided are a high quality freeze dried menu. This is a very physically demanding hunt focused on finding trophy class bears.

Additional Costs: Please take into consideration the additional costs associated with any outfitter services. Idaho hunting licenses & tags are not included. All prices are subject to a 6% Idaho Sales Tax & a 3% USFS Land Use Tax. Gratuities for any wranglers, cooks, or guides are not included in the cost of your hunt. The industry standard tip is 15%-20% but ultimately is entirely the clients decision. Trophy and meat handling are also additional costs. All hides and skulls will be prepared and frozen ready for taxidermy, arrangements can be made to ship for an additional fee.
